On April 16, Breakthrough Collaborative will host a LinkedIn Live conversation on building the educator workforce our schools and communities need. Today, schools across the country are grappling with persistent teacher shortages and the need to meaningfully support a new generation of educators. What will it take to recruit, prepare, and retain great teachers in today’s landscape?
Together, we’ll explore where the greatest opportunities for impact lie, and what it will take to strengthen and sustain the teacher workforce.

Starting Strong

On May 3, Breakthrough Collaborative hosted a live-streamed event on YouTube to explore how together we develop the next generation of diverse educators. This insightful conversation included Jarvis Lundy, Head of Future Black Teachers at Teach.org, and Travis J. Bristol, Ph.D., an associate professor of teacher education and education policy at the University of California, Berkeley’s School of Education.

Breakthrough Trivia Night

On behalf of our 24-affiliate network working year-round to inspire students and develop teachers, thank you for supporting Breakthrough Collaborative’s Trivia Night, our national fundraiser to strengthen the teacher pipeline!
We had a great night with 19 teams competing across the country (and one in Canada!), We’ve raised over $200,000 thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and many of you, enabling our national team to serve our network and to recruit and train more Teaching Fellows. Thank you!
